Movember 2025 – Supporting Men’s Health and Wellbeing

Movember 2025 – Supporting Men’s Health and Wellbeing

Every November, Movember takes place around the world to raise awareness of men’s health issues — both mental and physical. The campaign aims to spark conversations, reduce stigma, and encourage men to take charge of their wellbeing.

From mental health and suicide prevention to prostate cancer and testicular cancer, Movember 2025 is all about creating a healthier, happier future for men everywhere.

The Focus of Movember 2025

Movember’s mission is to change the face of men’s health by raising awareness and funding in three key areas:

  • Mental Health and Suicide Prevention – encouraging men to speak up, seek help, and support each other.
  • Prostate Cancer – promoting early detection and better treatment outcomes.
  • Testicular Cancer – increasing awareness and education around self-checks and early intervention.

How to Get Involved in Movember 2025

There are lots of fun and meaningful ways to take part in Movember and show your support for men’s mental and physical health.

1. Grow a Mo

Growing a moustache is the signature symbol of Movember. It’s more than a style choice — it’s a statement of support for better men’s health and a great way to start conversations that matter.

2. Move for Mental Health

Every hour, 60 men around the world take their own lives. Movember’s Move for Mental Health challenge encourages you to walk or run 60 km during November, one kilometre for every life lost. Do it solo or with friends — and move for change.

3. Host a Mo-Ment

Bring people together by hosting a Movember fundraising event — whether it’s a quiz night, coffee morning, or team challenge. The more we talk about men’s health and wellbeing, the closer we get to breaking the stigma around asking for help.

4. Mo Your Own Way

If moustaches or running aren’t your thing, no problem. “Mo Your Own Way” lets you create your own Movember challenge — from giving up a bad habit to setting a personal fitness goal. Whatever you choose, it’s all about supporting men’s health awareness.

Looking After Your Own Health This Movember

Movember isn’t just about raising funds — it’s also a reminder to prioritise your own wellbeing. Here are some simple ways to focus on self-care and mental health this month:

  • Book that appointment:
Don’t delay if something’s been bothering you. Whether it’s a check-up with your GP, a dentist visit, or a chat with a therapist, taking action is a vital step in caring for your health.
  • Commit to self-care:
Add small, positive habits to your daily routine — exercise regularly, take up a new hobby, drink more water, spend time outdoors, or connect with friends. Small changes make a big difference.
  • Cut back on unhealthy habits:
Think about what might be impacting your physical or mental health — try reducing alcohol, quitting smoking, or taking a break from social media.
  • Start meaningful conversations:
Reach out to friends and family and talk openly about how you’re feeling. Asking someone how they’re doing can also make a big difference. Normalising conversations about men’s mental health helps break down barriers and build stronger support networks.

Small Steps Lead to Big Changes

If it feels overwhelming to make lots of changes at once, start small. Even one positive habit can create a ripple effect.

For example, drinking more water each day can improve focus and energy levels, which might inspire you to go for daily walks. Walking regularly can improve mood, boost fitness, and help you feel more connected to your community.

Remember — every small step towards better health matters.
