Mental Health Awareness Week 12-18 May

Mental Health Awareness Week – 12 – 18 May 2025

Mental Health Awareness Week is 12-18 May 2023. The theme for this year is ‘Community.’ Mental Health Awareness week is an event that is run annually by the Mental Health Foundation. For the last 20 years it has given the UK a chance to focus in on issues around mental health and look at how we as a nation can work towards better mental health.

The Mental Health Foundation wants to use this years Mental Health Awareness Week to celebrate the power and importance of community

Being part of a safe, positive community is vital for our mental health and wellbeing. We thrive when we have strong connections with other people and supportive communities that remind us, we are not alone. Communities can provide a sense of belonging, safety, support in hard times, and give us a sense purpose.

This Mental Health Awareness Week how can you get more involved in your community, whether you are seeking or offering support?

The Mental Health Foundation has some tips here that you can download.
